Sanatan Devalaya (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We ask for the minimum needed to serve you and we never sell your personal data.

Information we collect

Account details — if you sign in (e.g. with Google), your name, email and profile photo, used to sync your library across devices.
Preferences & activity — your chosen language, ishta devata, bookmarks, reminders and japa/sankalp progress, so your practice stays consistent.
Approximate location — a coarse city/region (from your sign-in) to show relevant panchang and temples. We do not track precise GPS in the background.
Device & usage data — basic diagnostics and anonymous analytics to keep the app reliable.

How we use it

To provide daily darshan, panchang, scriptures, reminders and other features.
To sync your saved content when you choose to sign in.
To process optional purchases (Devalaya+ / donations) through the app store or payment provider.
To improve reliability and understand which features are helpful.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate (e.g. cloud hosting, payment and email providers), under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising beyond the ad networks that serve the free tier.

Your choices

Use the app as a guest without signing in.
Manage reminders and permissions from your device settings.
Request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
